Food is consistently delicious! And they have a huge selection do something gor everyone.
Great Vietnamese food. Best salmon around. Reasonably priced too. I love the crab Rangoon.
I went with a few college girlfriends and we were craving pho. Spot House did not disappoint at all. I got the beef pho and it was delicious. Thinly sliced pieces of beef in a flavorful broth with all of the toppings: limes, sprouts, basil and more. I was so happy and I had leftovers for the next day. It only gets better when reheated. My friends got chicken pho and the pad Thai which again were huge portions. Bring your appetite or your family, or maybe both. There's also plenty of seating for large groups.
I tried out this spot after seeing it placed on the STL100 by the Post-Dispatch restaurant critic. I don't always agree with his rankings, but certainly did here. There's a pretty broad menu, but we stuck with Asian/Vietnamese cuisine. Everything was excellent. Crab Rangoon and egg rolls were obviously prepared fresh in house, and came to us fresh from the fryer. Crab Rangoon we well stuffed with sweet, pillowy cream cheese and a nice crackle to the dough. Egg rolls had the thinner dough for a nice snap to the bite, filled with fresh ingredients. Bun rieu 'soup' had a full-bodied, umami broth in a huge bowl that could have easily fed two. Fresh bean sprouts, lettuce, and chopped jalapeno were served on the side for me to add as desired. I liked this because I didn't want lettuce in it, and left out the jalapenos because I'm a spice-heat wuss. The wife's fried rice was similarly huge enough for two or more. It was loaded with the various meats, much more of it than expected, along with large quantities of veggies. And well-flavored throughout. No soy sauce was added, because it would have degraded the rice's flavor. Both entrees were beautifully presented, as can be seen from the photos, and our server was friendly and attentive.
We went here to celebrate my sister-in-law 88th birthday! The food was delicious and plentiful so my husband and I shared a vegetable lo mein dish. The service was quick and sufficient and the Santa's was very patient serving a party of 20 people. I was thoroughly impressed that the server memorized all of those orders. The decor is nothing special and very outdated but hey when the food is good I guess it doesn't really matter. The restaurant sits in the middle of a strip mall so there's plenty of parking and the walk isn't too far to walk to the businesses front door. I would definitely eat here again.
